What this application does:
      Our ActiveX demo illustrates what can be done using Visual Basic and ActiveX with FileMaker Pro. Every function that FileMaker makes available to ActiveX is illustrated. This demo shows how one can use Visual Basic to activate FileMaker, run a script, count the open documents, get all file paths of open documents, hide the FileMaker Application, get FileMaker's export file path and more. On the Macintosh platform this functionality can be achieved using AppleScript.
      Many applications contain an ActiveX interface. For example, one could write a Visual Basic application that launches FileMaker Pro, opens a specific database and runs a script in that database which exports a set of data. Then using ActiveX, tell Excel to import and display that data.
      This ActiveX demo only illustrates ActiveX with relation to FileMaker Pro (not Excel). If you download our ActiveX demo and like what it does, keep in mind that we sell the source code on our website so you can see what we did and add it to any and all your VB applications.
